The story :
Marie-Bise is a pretty young girl. Just by her joyful presence, she brings happiness to everyone around her. She knows the language of flowers and birds, and by going on a marvellous adventure with them, Marie-Bise becomes aware of the riches of a world full of differences.
The authors :
IIsabelle REVOL was born in New Caledonia in 1973. She lived in the north of New Caledonia until the age of twenty, and has always been surrounded by children. During a two-year stay in France, with the Bafa diploma, she taught introductory artistic workshops at leisure centres in the Paris region. She has always enjoyed inventing and telling stories that are entirely of her own making, but remains in touch with the realities of everyday life.
Isabelle REVOL is also the author and illustrator of Fleur d’igname, a marvellous children’s story, which was awarded the 2002 Youth Literature Prize of New Caledonia, “Livre mon ami”. She is a member of the New Caledonia Writers’ Association.
